How to Install Theme?​

To install theme first you must have a working WordPress site, make sure you follow the instructions step by step.If you have trouble installing WordPress read this tutorial.
There are two ways to install theme.

Installing Theme Via WordPress​

• Via WordPress – Log in into the admin area, navigate through Appearance > Themes > Install Themes > Upload and select the .zip file you downloaded and finally click on Install Now

Style.css Missing ErrorIf your getting error that style.css missing. Kindly upload theme using ftp.

Installing Theme Via FTP​

• Via FTP – The other way is by FTP, log in into your site’s FTP through a FTP Client and go into the WordPress installation directory and then navigate to: /wp-content/themes/ and upload the silicon folder here. After the uplad is complete go to Appearance > Themes into your admin area, you will see theme there, hit Activate to activate currently installed theme
  

Install and activate Required or Recommended Plugins​

How to Import Demo Data?​

After installing theme you have to configure theme and fill in demo content (importing data and theme options code).

Manual Import​

Using Envato Took Kit​

When and How to use Child theme?​

Why Child Theme​

If you want to change something which is not available in themeoptions panel. You may need to make changes in theme files. But when you will update theme you will lose your changes. So in that case child theme is very useful for you.

How to Install Child Theme​

After installing Werock as instruction given above. Log in into your site’s FTP through a FTP Client and go into the WordPress installation directory and then navigate to: /wp-content/themes/ and upload the child theme folder here. After the upload is complete go to Appearance > Themes into your admin area, you will see child theme there, hit Activate to activate currently installed child theme.

How to use Child Theme​

Now make changes in any file of theme and upload to child theme folder and its done. If you are going to update theme just update parant theme.

This theme is newbie-friendly as a lot of attention was devoted to ensure that no one would have difficulty installing and using the theme. This is one feature of NaijaPace that I like. However, in this version, when you click next Page, you’ll not see the Trending posts, see example below:

Since tracks are under album, we should create albums next…

1. Create category.

2. Click “Add New Album”

4. Select artist.. You’ll see two “select artists” use only the second one.. (Select Artist
Artists list from artist post type). So you will select one of the artists you added first. Now you see why we created artist first?

CREATE MUSIC VIDEO NEXT…​

If the track you want to upload has a video, upload it in this post type.

CREATE TRACK NEXT…​

Now that we have the artist and the album, we should now create a track…

1. Create category…

2. Add New Track…

3.. Click “Insert Download” to add songs. Please use this feature if you want download stats to be collected. Please not the ID.. You’ll use it in the final step…

4. Click “relations”..

i. Select Track Artist..
ii. Select the music video if it has.
iii. Select the track Album…

5. Go down and add the ID you copied in step 3 to the box provided…

Now we are done with track…

TRENDING SONGS…​

Go to “Track“, create a category with the name and slug trending

Now any song you want to feature at the top should be added to the Trending category.

CHANGING COLOR…​

To change the default green color, go to customize, select a color and save…

FINALLY, YOU CAN CHANGE POST TYPE…​

Example, you can change a post from “post” to “track“, “track” to “album“, “album to post” and so on…

Go to the post edit screen or manage posts area. On the edit screen of your post or another post type, you will see a drop down under the “Publish” meta box. Choose the post type you want to switch to and click the update button.
